Short answer: The price of a bathroom remodel comes down to five things: the size of the room, how much you change the layout, the tile you pick, the fixtures, and upgrades like heated floors. Two bathrooms the same size can land far apart. The only honest number is a quote on your actual room, and ours are free.
Size and scope
A shower-only refresh and a down-to-the-studs remodel are different projects. Demo, insulation, drywall and paint add up when the whole room is opened.
Moving plumbing
Keeping the toilet, drain and valve where they are keeps costs down. Moving them is very doable, it just adds work.
Tile choice and pattern
Material matters, but so does layout. Herringbone, mosaics and detailed patterns take more time to set than a simple stacked layout.
- Large-format porcelain: fewer grout lines, fast to clean
- Herringbone and chevron: more cuts, more labor
- 1x1 and penny mosaics: the most patience of all
Fixtures and finishes
Valves, shower heads, freestanding tub fillers, vanities and countertops range widely. You can save here and splurge on tile, or the other way around.
Upgrades
Heated floors, niches, benches and glass all add to the number and all add to how much you love the room.
