FAQ

Everything people ask us

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Tacoma and Pierce County?

Every bathroom is different, so we quote each one for free after seeing it. Size, tile choice, plumbing moves, fixtures and heated floors drive the number most. Call or text 253-269-8610 for your exact price.

What areas do you serve?

Edgewood, Fife, Sumner, Milton, Tacoma, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Lakewood, Federal Way and Auburn. We're based in Edgewood.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. White Saber LLC is a Washington State licensed contractor (L&I #WHITESL795LW) and insured. You can verify the license on the Washington L&I Verify a Contractor page.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

It depends on scope. A shower rebuild in a small bathroom has been done in about a week. You get a schedule with your quote, and our reviews keep mentioning on-time finishes.

Do you clean up?

Every day. It's one of the most mentioned things in our reviews: "I have never seen a contractor clean up so well."

Are there surprise charges?

No. Our clients' words: "no hidden fees or surprise charges" and "no surprise change orders."

What are your hours?

We answer 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm.

Do you waterproof showers?

Every wet wall and shower pan gets a waterproofing membrane before tile. It's the most important layer in the bathroom.

How long does a full bathroom remodel take?

It depends on the size of the bathroom and the scope. Once we've seen the space we give you a schedule up front, and our reviews mention on-time finishes again and again. One small-bathroom shower rebuild was done in about a week.

Do you handle the whole thing or just tile?

The whole thing. Demo, insulation, drywall, paint, light plumbing, vanity, countertops, showers, tubs, tile and floors.

Can you change the layout?

Often, yes. Clients have doubled their bathroom's footprint and swapped windows for built-in shelving. We'll tell you honestly what your space allows.

Is a custom tile shower better than a prefab insert?

Tile lets you pick the size, layout, niches and finish, and it's what you see in high-end homes. A properly waterproofed tile shower is built to last.

Can you add a niche or bench?

Yes. Niches and benches are planned in before tile goes up, so they look built-in, because they are.

Do you install the glass?

Ask us about glass for your project when we quote it.

How much does a tub-to-shower conversion cost?

It depends on size, tile choice and plumbing changes, so we quote every job free after seeing it. Call or text 253-269-8610.

How long does a tub-to-shower conversion take?

Usually a matter of days to a couple of weeks depending on scope. You get the schedule with your quote.

Is it hard to step in?

No. That's the point. We can build low-curb or curbless entries.

What tile is best for a shower floor?

Smaller tiles (like hex or penny mosaic) give more grout lines for grip and follow the slope to the drain. We'll help you pick.

Large-format tile or small tile on shower walls?

Large-format means fewer grout lines and a clean, modern look. Small tile and mosaics bring texture and pattern. Both are great when installed right.

Do you do backsplashes?

Yes, including kitchen backsplashes.

Can you replace just the tub surround?

Yes. We can retile the surround on its own or as part of a full remodel.

Can you install a freestanding tub?

Yes, including the filler and the tile around it.

Will tile around a tub leak?

Not when it's waterproofed properly behind the tile, which is how we build every wet wall.

Is radiant floor heating worth it in a bathroom?

If cold tile in the morning bugs you, yes. It's best done during a remodel when the floor is open.

Your bathroom, done right.
